danilunaria Sometimes dark ambient is warm as an old black & white photograph of a hidden, forgotten landscape. This is a great recording of detailed drones and atmospheres that capture every shade of gray.

Brian Bourassa This is primarily a drone work that is quite dark in nature. Within this frame unfolds a myriad of processed field effects that haunt you. There is no room for seep here as the various elements of "darkness" make themselves known in no predictable manner.

Lush ans melodic phrases are void here as the darkness is all too captivating, all encompassing. The only exception may be the track Cortical Landscapes. This is the only place where darkness seems to take a breath. Favorite track: Static Motion.

about

After 3 years of exploring new paths in the dark-ambient side of my music, this album collects tracks that I prepared slowly and deeply. This album is focussed on drone and dark ambient music with most of the source material comming from field recordings, voices and extremely treated sounds. Synthesizers have here a minimal presence.

First released at artist website as free download in 2004-2005; remastered version released at ad21music during 2010-2011 and at Altera Orbe in 2012.
